Description:

Excavation group consisting of a set of machines, of which the main one is the Alpine ABM25-EX continuous miner, in explosion-proof configuration in accordance with ATEX Group I for machines and plants operating in potentially explosive atmospheres for gas and dust, in mines.

The group was purchased with a contract dated 11/10/2004 and entered service in the last quarter of 2005, was put out of service in 2011, after having excavated 5330 m of tunnel; it is currently undergoing extraordinary maintenance at the external workshop.

The set, in detail, consists of:

- VA ABM25- EX excavation machine
- Power system consisting of a 1000 kVA SAIT TS1281 6kV / 1.0 kV transformer and relative switches / disconnectors,
- Radio control system
- Dry dust suppression system, consisting of a suction system, through 400 m3 / min Korfmann axial fans
- Tube tank for pressure ventilation duct
- Mansfield “Matilda” advancement system consisting of a transport system on a beam structure with hydraulic thrust
- Nets tank for bolting on board the machine; tank bolts from the roof to the machine.
