SEAT SAVES BABY LIFE WITH CAR ALERTS

Industrial patent n. 102016000117348 filed on 11/21/2016 at the Italian Patent and Trademark Office.

The life-saving, anti-abandonment child seat, with alarm, for motor vehicles, warns of the presence of the child when getting out of the car without having picked up the child. It consists of a seat with a seat platform with one or more weight sensors, or load cells, or pressure transducers or the like, fixed on the rigid seat surface; a layer of padding, preferably in sponge, or other similar material, fixed to the rigid seat surface, with recesses made in the support base in such a way as to activate the sensors only when the child's weight is on the seat; by a radio connection established by a radio transmitter to be connected to the cigarette lighter or USB socket of the car and a radio receiver powered by rechargeable batteries incorporated in the fixing structure of the car seat.

When the radio connection is interrupted due to the engine or the electrical panel of the car being switched off, the radio receiver, in the presence of the child in the seat, will emit an audible alarm that cannot be deactivated and will be deactivated only when the child is picked up from the seat . The radio receiver is powered by rechargeable batteries and is equipped with an audible alarm that will warn that they are about to run out.

The present invention is easy to install and does not require the intervention of a specialized technician for assembly in the car.
